Fermentation interrupted by the add of brandy. Maturation in wooden casks, till bottling. It's a high quality Port of a strict vintage. Matures in wooden barrels for at least seven years, after that period it can then be bottled. When of the maturation in cask, the young, fruity and fresh aromas develop by an oxidation process; turn to a bouquet giving place to aromas of dry fruits, and also to toasting, wooden and spicy aromas. When of the ageing, it gains more softness, harmony and complexity in the bouquet. The colour changes to tawny, getting some green hues in older wines.
