This wine, with name of "garrafeira" is a specialty of the Niepoort. It aged for decades, not in the wood - but in small special glass containers, called "demijons". This is an intense, smooth wine, with notes of spices and fruits, quite balanced. In the mouth it is rich and full, with a good acidity and a great balance.
