Francisco Maria Brum, foi o pioneiro na reconversão da vinha na ilha Terceira, tendo fundado em 1890 a Casa Agrícola Brum. Desde então quatro gerações desta Família de origem flamenga, tem-se empenhado na produção e aperfeiçoamento do seu Verdelho, também detentora do Museu do Vinho dos Biscoitos.
